Coaching FAQs
What Is Wellness Coaching?
COACHING is an ongoing professional relationship between you and your personal advocate. Just as a good athletic coach recognizes, encourages, and guides the development of an athlete's innate abilities to perform a sport, a WELLNESS COACH recognizes, encourages, and guides you to refine and apply your special skills and values to achieve your personal idea of an authentically fulfilling life.
How will coaching benefit me?
A Coach helps you create, track, and achieve your goals. You are the expert in your life, and your Coach is the expert at guiding you toward your life's destination.
What are some typical reasons someone might work with a coach?
You might hire a Coach to guide you through a time of transition. You might benefit from Coaching if you are facing a challenge, need to enhance your effectiveness, or make critical decisions. Coaching can help you clarify your goals, accelerate an outcome, or manage your daily life. Coaching can support you in organizing a complicated life, simplifying your life, or finding balance in your life.
What should I look for in a coach?
The most important quality to look for in a Coach is compatibility. Are you able to form an open, trusting, and powerfully creative alliance with this individual? Do you and your Coach share similar ideas about how coaching can help you? You should also ask about your Coach's education and credentialing status.
How and where does Coaching take place?
Most Coaching takes place in 30 to 45 minute TELEPHONE meetings between you and your Coach. You might also elect to join a coaching group. Groups also take place over the telephone via a conference call. The time, frequency, and duration of Coaching sessions, as well as the financial investment, and other business details are agreed to ahead of time in a written contract that is signed by both you and your Coach. |
