The ICF (International Coach Federation) Standards of Ethical Conduct
All certified coaches must pledge to abide by the International Coach Federation's Standards of Ethical Conduct. These Standards are reviewed and updated every three years.
The Ethical Standards exist to protect both client and coach.
They define coaching and the coaching relationship, outline appropriate professional conduct and the coach's responsibilities to avoid conflicts of interest, and they specify a coach's obligation to assure confidentiality and privacy for each client.
